<p class="Help-Text">Some hardware, including physical inventory scanners, PIN pad devices, and serial models of pole display, require assignment of a Windows COM port. The COM port setting for this hardware specified in Point of Sale must match the setting in your Windows Device Manager.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">Point of Sale will select a port setting for each piece of equipment, but Windows may assign a different port, depending on other hardware you have installed and the available ports.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">Use this procedure to verify or select a COM port in Windows Device Manager and then make the same selection when setting up the hardware in Point of Sale.</p>
|
