<p class="Help-Text">Modified document templates are automatically available to other workstations on your network that access the same Point of Sale company data.</p>
<p class="Help-Text">If you create a new company data file and want to use your modified templates with that data (or want to share modified templates with another store) you can use the import &amp; export feature to accomplish this. The export process places copies of all modified templates into a single file that can then be imported and used with another company data file.</p>
<p class="Help-Info-Line">To export modified templates:</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">From the Print Designer selection window, select <font class="hcp1">Import &amp; Export</font>.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp2">E</span><font class="hcp1">xport Document Templates</font> and then <span class="hcp2">Next</span>.</p>

<li class="p-Help-Steps">
<p class="Help-Steps">Select to <span class="hcp2">Export the Selected Document or Tag</span> or <span class="hcp2">Export All Documents and Tags</span> and select <span class="hcp2">N</span><span class="hcp2">ext</span>.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Accept the default filename and location or specify alternates.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">Your modified templates are exported in an XML file format that can be imported to the other company data file as needed.</p>
<p class="Help-Text">(Multi-Store) &#160;&#160;The file can be copied to removable media, attached to an e-mail, or directly accessed across a network connection to share the templates with other stores.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Browse to the XML file containing the templates and select it.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp2">OK</span>.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <font class="hcp1">Import Now</font>.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">If the imported templates are named differently than the default templates, you must <a href="../qbpos_basic_procedures/printing/basic292.htm">modify your template selections</a> on the Documents &amp; Printers page of workstation preferences to use them on printed documents.</p>
