<p class="Help-Text">You can import all or just selected items from your QuickBooks Desktop financial software.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">In the Select Items to Import dialog, make sure the check box in the <font class="hcp2">Import</font> column is selected for all items you want to import and cleared (not checked) for all items you do not want to import.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">By default, all items are selected. You can use the <span class="hcp1">S</span><font class="hcp2">elect All</font> or <span class="hcp1">C</span><font class="hcp2">lear All</font> buttons to select or clear all check boxes at once.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">An easy way to select/clear check boxes is to place the focus in the Import column, then arrow up or down through the list, pressing <font class="hcp2"><Spacebar></font> to select/clear the checkboxes.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">To locate a particular item, sort by the column containing the information by which you want to search. Do this by clicking the <img src="../image/blue_sort_indicator.gif" alt="image\blue_sort_indicator.gif" title="image\blue_sort_indicator.gif" width="11" height="11" border="0"> icon in the column header. Then type in the <font class="hcp2">Search</font> field to automatically be taken to matching records. For example, to locate an item with a sales description of "Cabinet Fixture," sort by the Sales Description column and type "cabinet" in the <font class="hcp2">Search</font> field.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">To view a group of items that share common information, select <font class="hcp2">Filter View</font>. For example, if you wish to view all of your service items, you could <a href="../qbpos_basic_procedures/basic262.htm">filter</a> by the Item Type of <font style="font-style: italic;">Service</font>.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">Filtering or sorting may reduce the number of items displayed in the Select Items to Import dialog. However, all items that have the Import check box selected will be imported, whether or not they are currently displayed on screen. Cancel the filtered view or sort by a column with an entry for all items to display all of your items again.</p>
