<p class="Help-Indent">The Debit Card dialog is opened with the full sale amount pre-filled in the <span class="hcp2">Amount</span> field.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Swipe or insert the debit card and, if allowed, select a cash back amount.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Click <font class="hcp3">Authorize</font>.</p>

||

||

<p class="Help-Steps">Have customer enter their PIN and select <font class="hcp3">OK</font> on the PIN pad.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Have customer approve the total transaction amount by selecting <font class="hcp3">OK</font>.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent">Point of Sale connects to the Merchant Service to obtain authorization.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent">If both of the following are true, Point of Sale will process the transaction and print the receipt without further action on your part. This allows you to return to servicing the customer.</p>

||

<p class="Help-Indent">If either of these are <font style="text-decoration: underline;">not</font> true, continue with the following steps.</p>

||

<p class="Help-Text" style="margin-left: 23.75pt;"><font class="hcp3">Authorized:</font> The debit has been approved. Select <font class="hcp3">OK</font> to close the card dialog.</p>

<p class="Help-Text" style="margin-left: 23.75pt;"><font class="hcp3">Declined:</font> The debit was not approved. Select <font class="hcp3">Cancel</font> to close the Debit window and return to the payment screen. Ask the customer to provide a different form of payment.</p>
