<p class="Help-Text">(Headquarters only) Enter your total number of stores, and then assign a unique alphanumeric code up to three characters for each. This code is displayed throughout the program and on multi-store reports.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">Optionally, assign a QuickBooks Desktop financial software class to each store to allow Profit/Loss reporting by store in your financial software. ||

<p class="Help-Text">Specify a communication <a href="../qbpos_multi_store/multi_store_exchange_methods.htm">method</a> for Store Exchanges with your other stores, then select <font class="hcp3">Configure</font> to enter the other stores license number and e-mail address, file transfer path, or folder location (depending on exchange method).</p>

<p class="Help-Text">In the <span class="hcp5">Store Exchange Notification</span> area, you can set an alert so that you are aware if you have not sent or received a file from another store. Enter the number of days after which you will be alerted.</p>
|
||

<p class="Help-Text">On the <span class="hcp5">Options tab:</span></p>
|
||
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">Select <span class="hcp5">Change Password</span> to enter or revise a <a href="../qbpos_multi_store/ms_config_passwords.htm">password</a> to encrypt Store Exchange files (required). The same password must be entered at all stores.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">Note: If you have multiple POS data files, enter a different password for each file.</p>
|
||
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">If you want received files placed in a folder other than the default, browse to a new <span class="hcp5">Process-In Folder</span>. Select <span class="hcp5">Revert to Default Folder</span> to return to using the default folder.</p>
|

|

<p class="Help-Text">Finally, if desired select <span class="hcp5">Automatically exchange store data...</span> and enter a time for files to be exchanged each day. Read the information provided on the right of this screen for important information.</p>
