<p class="Help-Text"><font class="hcp1">Item Difference Fields</font></p>
<p class="Help-Text">Old, new, and difference fields for adjusted values are included in the item list on adjustment memos.</p>
<p class="Help-Text">For example, on a cost adjustment memo, the <font class="hcp1">Old</font> <font class="hcp1">Cost</font> field shows the current inventory cost for an item. You enter the adjusted value in the <font class="hcp1">New Cost</font> field (decimal cost entry allowed, up to five decimal places). The difference between the old and new cost is displayed in the <font class="hcp1">Diff Cost</font> field. Likewise, on quantity adjustment memos, you have <font class="hcp1">Old Qty</font>, <font class="hcp1">New Qty</font>, and <font class="hcp1">Diff Qty</font> fields.</p>

<p class="Help-Text"><font class="hcp1">Document Difference Fields</font></p>
<p class="Help-Text">Similar fields in the totals area of the memo (<font class="hcp1">Old Value,</font> <font class="hcp1">New Value</font> on cost memo, and <font class="hcp1">Old Qty, New Qty, Qty Change</font> on quantity memo) summarize the total adjustments to inventory for all items on the memo. One more totals field, <font class="hcp1">Value Change</font>, is used on both memo types to show the dollar change in inventory value resulting from the memo. These totals fields cannot be edited.</p>

<p class="Help-Note"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Note</span>: The ability to see cost fields, including margin and markup and other fields related to cost, can be controlled by <a href="../qbpos_secadmin/secadminoverview.htm">security rights</a>. If you do not have the right to view item costs, the fields will be masked like this "*****". This right affects cost fields in inventory and on all documents and reports.</p>
