<p class="Help-Text">Requiring employees to log in with a login name and password activates the security features of Point of Sale.</p>
<p class="Help-Info-Line">To activate security:</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">At the home page, select <span class="hcp1">P</span><font class="hcp2">references</font> <font style="font-family: 'Wingdings 3'; font-weight: bold;" face="Wingdings 3"></font> <font class="hcp2">Company</font> from the File menu.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp1">G</span><font class="hcp2">eneral</font> from the left-side preferences list.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select the <font class="hcp2">Require users to log in</font> check box.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Log in as the System Administrator using the password defined in Step 5 or as another employee previously set up.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">After activating security in this manner, <a href="secadmin02.htm">add</a> or <a href="secadmin04.htm">edit employee records</a>, assigning user names, passwords, and security rights as needed.</p>
<p class="Help-Text">Only the System Administrator can change this setting in the future. To deactivate security, come to the same preference page and clear the check box.</p>
