<p class="Help-Note">This information is applicable to the <span class="hcp1">Price Change</span> wizard, accessed from Price Manager.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">Price changes are calculated for just the items you select. Use this page to specify how you want to select items for the price change. You will have the opportunity to review, add, or edit items and new prices in the Price Change item list later, before any new prices are applied to inventory.</p>
|

<p class="Help-Info-Line">Your choices are to add items by:</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted"><span class="hcp1">Vendor</span> - On the following page, specify one or more vendors; all items from the specified vendor(s) will be added to the price change list.</p>

|
<p class="Help-Bulleted"><span class="hcp1">Department</span> - On the following page, specify one or more departments; all items from the specified department(s) will be added to the price change list.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted"><span class="hcp1">Item Name</span>* - On the following page, specify one or more item names; all items with the same name will be added to the price change list.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted"><span class="hcp1">All items</span> - Adds all of your items to the price change list.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted"><span class="hcp1">Filtering Items</span> - Allows you to add items by <a href="../qbpos_basic_procedures/basic262.htm">entering filter criteria</a>. All items matching your criteria will be added to the price change list.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">* <span class="hcp1">Item Name</span> is the default field label for the short item description printed on receipts. This is a <a href="../qbpos_fields/fields_customize_field_labels.htm">customizable label</a> so it may be different on your system, such as <span class="hcp1">Description 1</span> or <span class="hcp1">Receipt Description</span>.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">You can calculate new prices in different ways for different groups of items in a single price change. Select the first group of items and complete the price change for that group. Then, with the price change item list displayed, use the <span class="hcp1">Select Items</span> option to display another group of items, then <span class="hcp1">Calculate</span> to compute new prices for that group, and so on. Each time you calculate new prices, you are only affecting the currently selected (and displayed) items. Before applying the changes to inventory, select Items with New Price from the View menu. This displays and allows you to review all the new prices before applying them to inventory.</p>
