<p class="Help-Text">Due to frequent hardware changes, always follow the directions provided with the printer if it differs from this procedure.</p>
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">It is strongly recommended that you use the Hardware Setup Wizard to configure your Point of Sale hardware. You can access the setup wizard from the File menu and from individual hardware workstation preferences pages.</p>
|
|
<p class="Help-Info-Line">To set up your STAR TSP600-Series parallel printer:</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Insert your Point of Sale CD into your CD-ROM drive. If the installation wizard launches because of this, select <font class="hcp1">No</font> to cancel.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Take the power supply and place one end in the back of the receipt printer and the other into a power source. Turn the printer power on.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <font class="hcp1">Hardware Setup Wizard</font> from the File menu .</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Follow the on-screen instructions to connect and setup your printer. <span class="hcp2">Do not connect your hardware until instructed to do so.</span></p>

<p class="Help-Steps">From the Point of Sale File menu, select <span class="hcp2">P</span><font class="hcp1">references</font> <font style="font-family: 'Wingdings 3'; font-weight: bold;" face="Wingdings 3"></font> <font class="hcp1">Workstation</font>, and then select available printers.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent"><span class="hcp2">For TSP600:</span> Ensure that the Star TSP613 or TSP600 Raster Printer is in the list on this page. If it is not, follow the procedure <a href="equipment_addtsp600_printerlist.htm">here</a> to add it before continuing.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp2">Documents & Printers</span> from the left-side preferences list.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">Click in the Printer column and select the Star TSP for each of the documents you wish to print with this printer, e.g. Sales Receipts, X/Z-Out Reports, etc.</p>

|
<p class="Help-Nested-List">Click in the Template column and select one of the 40-column templates for each of these document types.</p>

</ul>
