<p class="Help-Text">If you've been using QuickBooks financial software for some time, you may have accumulated list items that are no longer needed. If you plan to import this data to Point of Sale, you may want to clean up your lists before importing.</p>
<ol>

<p class="Help-Steps">Open your QuickBooks financial software.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">From the Lists menu, select the list you want to edit.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select the list item you want to remove.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp1">I</span><font class="hcp2">tem, Vendor, Customer:Job,</font> etc., at the bottom of the screen to display available options.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp1">D</span><font class="hcp2">elete</font> or <span class="hcp1">M</span><font class="hcp2">ake Inactive</font>. Deleting an item removes it permanently. Making it inactive removes the item from a list but retains the record so you can access it again. Inactive items in your financial software will not be imported to Point of Sale.</p>
