<p class="Help-Text">Reinstalling Point of Sale may fix errors that result because of deleted or corrupted files.</p>
<p class="Help-Heading-2">Notes:</p>
<ul>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">Reinstalling does not overwrite your company data file, however we strongly recommend that you <a href="../qbpos_data_protection/backupoverview.htm">back up</a> your company data before beginning.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">Reinstalling will not overwrite newer files that you have received via a program <a href="helpandsupport19.htm">update</a>.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">These instructions assume the use of a CD. If installing from a downloaded file, follow the instructions provided with the download.</p>

<p class="Help-Info-Line">To reinstall Point of Sale:</p>
<ol>

<p class="Help-Steps">Shut down all running programs on your computer except Windows.</p>
</li>
<li class="p-Help-Steps">
<p class="Help-Steps">Insert your Point of Sale CD into your CD drive.</p>
</li>
</ol>
<p class="Help-Indent">If the Installation Wizard does not launch automatically, select <font class="hcp1">Start</font> <font style="font-family: 'Wingdings 3'; font-weight: bold;" face="Wingdings 3"></font> <font class="hcp1">Run</font> and type <font class="hcp1">D:\setup</font>. Replace the D with the letter of your CD drive if it differs.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the reinstallation.</p>
