<p class="Help-Steps">Your e-mail client is automatically launched and the e-mail is created, with the mailbag file attached and addressed to Headquarters. A default message instructs Headquarters how to process the attachment.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">It is suggested you read and follow the <a href="store_exchangsequence_remote.htm">recommended Store Exchange sequence</a>.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">Only the Server Workstation can run Store Exchange.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent" style="margin-left: 27px;"><font class="hcp8">xxxxx</font> = the sequence number for mailbags created at this store. Incremented 00001, 00002, etc.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent" style="margin-left: 27px;"><font class="hcp6">.QBT</font> = the file extension used for all Store Exchange mailbags</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">Before you send, it is a good practice to check for and <a href="store_exchange_procin.htm">process in</a> any mailbags that you may have received from Headquarters and not yet processed.</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">There are three ways by which sending a mailbag can be initiated:</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">To manually send a file, select <font class="hcp6">Send Files</font> from the Stores menu or the Store Exchange Center</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">Include the <font class="hcp6">Store Exchange</font> option in your <a href="../qbpos_end_of_day/eodoverview.htm">End of Day</a> procedure</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List"><a href="store_exchange_schedule.htm">Schedule</a> your Store Exchanges to happen automatically (available only for Intuit Service and Network File Transfer methods)</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">You can revise the Store Exchange settings for Headquarters in the Store Exchange dialog displayed. Any changes you make here apply only to the current exchange.</p>
