<p class="Help-Text">It is strongly recommended that you use the <a href="../qbpos_equipment/equip_hwsetupwiz.htm">Hardware Setup Wizard</a> to configure your Point of Sale hardware. You can access the setup wizard from the File menu and from individual hardware preferences pages.</p>
|

<p class="Help-Text">This procedure assumes you have followed the <a href="../qbpos_equipment/equipment_installing.htm">instructions</a> to install your physical inventory scanner to this workstation and have assigned a Windows COM port.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select the COM Port number that matches the COM Port you assigned in Windows when installing the scanner.</p>
