<p class="Help-Info-Line">There are three ways to find a saved receipt:</p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">From a customer record, view the <a href="../../qbpos_customers/cust910.htm">customer's purchase history</a></p>

<p class="Help-Bulleted">Search directly in your sales history as described below</p>

<p class="Help-Info-Line">To search for a receipt in sales history:</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Open your <a href="../../qbpos_recording_sales_and_returns/receipt_sales_history.htm">sales history</a>.</p>

<li class="p-Help-Steps">
|
|
<p class="Help-Steps">Begin typing keywords in the <span class="hcp2">Search</span> field above the list.  </p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">If you know the receipt number, enter it or scan the bar code from the original, printed receipt.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">You can also search by customer name, company name, cashier, or associate. The more unique the search keyword, the fewer search results will be returned.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">To search by the date the receipt was made, enter the date in mm/dd or mm/dd/yyyy format, including the slashes.</p>
|

<p class="Help-Nested-List">(Pro) If recorded on the receipt, you can search by item <a href="../basic_serial_number.htm">serial number</a> or <a href="../../qbpos_shipping/shipping_info.htm">shipping tracking number</a>.</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">As you type, the list is instantly filtered to display only matching receipts. Note how the filter button now indicates the list is showing Search Results and the number of records found is shown at the bottom of the list. In this case, typing "06/14" returned three receipts made on June 14.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">If no results are found, use the backspace key on your keyboard to go back and re-enter new characters.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select the receipt you wish to work with and then click <span class="hcp2">Show Details</span> or choose an appropriate task from the I Want To menu.</p>
