<p class="Help-Text">All open windows must be closed before receiving Store Exchange files. If open windows are detected, you will be notified and given a chance to save any pending transactions before continuing.</p>
|

<p class="Help-Text">Only the Server Workstation can run Store Exchange. At a remote store, close all <a href="../qbpos_glossary_of_terms/glossarypage.htm#glossary_openwindows">open windows</a> before processing a file received from Headquarters.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">There are three general ways in which a mailbag can be received and processed in:</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">Open or double-click a received file or an e-mail attachment with the <font class="hcp2">.qbt</font> extension</p>

<p class="Help-Nested-List">From the Stores menu or the Store Exchange Center, select <font class="hcp2">Receive Files</font>; this option checks for and processes any exchange files found in your default Store Exchange <a href="store_exchange_in_folder.htm">in folder</a> (or from a folder to which you have browsed)</p>

<p class="Help-Text">The process of receiving and processing in mailbags will depend on the Store Exchange method used. If Store Exchange mailbags are waiting in your "in folder' when Point of Sale is started, you are prompted to process them.</p>
