<p class="Help-Text">The Message board, displayed on the <a href="navigation_find/basic_navigator.htm">Home Page</a> and accessible from the receipts, inventory, receiving, and customer areas, allows you to leave notes for yourself or other employees. Point of Sale will also post messages for you when something needs your attention, such as inventory reminders.</p>

Messages can be displayed in "sticky note" format or as a list and are searchable. System notes, such as inventory reminders, will contain a link to take you to the screen on which you can review or complete the task.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">To add a new message, click <img src="../image/message_new.gif" alt="new message icon" style="border: none;" border="0"> at the top of the Message board.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">To search for a message, begin typing a search keyword in the <span class="hcp1">Search message</span> box. Point of Sale dynamically locates messages with matching characters as you type and displays them. Clear the <span class="hcp1">Search</span> box to see all messages again.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">Click one of the icons to the right of the <span class="hcp1">Search message</span> box to change the display to list format or the stickies format, which is the default. The list format allows you to see more messages at one time.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">To delete a message, move your mouse over the message, then click the <span class="hcp1">Remove</span> link that appears in the lower right corner.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">Use the Minimize feature at the bottom to close or open the Message view.</p>
