<p class="Help-Text">You can print a gift receipt that does not include specific item, price or payment information. This feature is useful around Holidays or if you specialize in gift merchandise.</p>
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">With a gift receipt, customers can safely include the receipt inside a gift package or give the receipt to the recipient. If the recipient needs to return or exchange the gift, they already have the receipt and theres no need to inconvenience the gift giver.</p>
|
|
<p class="Help-Text">The bar code printed at the bottom of the gift receipt indicates the original receipt number and you can quickly find the original sale receipt by scanning the gift receipt bar code (or typing the receipt number) in the <span class="hcp1">Quick Find</span> window on the home page Navigator or the <span class="hcp1">Find Receipt</span> window in sales history.</p>

<p class="Help-Text">With the gift receipt preference turned on, you are prompted to print a gift receipt every time you save a receipt. Each workstation can enable gift receipt prompting individually.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">From the File menu, select <span class="hcp1">Preferences</span> <font style="font-family: 'Wingdings 3'; font-weight: bold;" face="Wingdings 3"></font> <span class="hcp1">Workstation</span>.</p>

<p class="Help-Steps">Select <span class="hcp1">Documents & Printers</span> from the preferences list on the left.</p>

<p class="Help-Indent">Verify the printer and print template to be used for gift receipts. Note: The gift receipt printer is automatically set to the same printer used for regular sales receipts, but a different print template can be used if desired.</p>

<p class="Help-Text" style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0;">If you have your <a href="../qbpos_workstation_preferences/wsprefs_printoptions.htm">Print Options</a> preferences set to show the Print dialog for each sales receipt, you can select to print a gift receipt on the dialog when needed instead of setting the global preference to prompt you.</p>
