<p class="Help-Heading-2">Using Passwords to Protect your Data</p>
<p class="Help-Text">This is a popup topic. <font style="font-weight: bold;" color="#33CCCC" size="2">and has been hidden</font></p>
<p class="Help-Text">Password logins, combined with security group assignments, can be used in Point of Sale to restrict employee access to features or sensitive data. A password is also required to encrypt Store Exchange files sent between stores. </p>
<p class="Help-Text">The following apply to passwords in Point of Sale:</p>
<ul>
<li class="p-Help-Bulleted">
<p class="Help-Bulleted">Can be any combination of up to twenty letters, numbers, or special characters. Choose a password that you can easily remember but that cannot be easily guessed by others.</p>
</li>
<li class="p-Help-Bulleted">
<p class="Help-Bulleted">Passwords are case-sensitive; i.e. they must be entered with the same combination of upper and lower-case characters each time.</p>
</li>
<li class="p-Help-Bulleted">
<p class="Help-Bulleted">The Store Exchange password must be the same at each store.</p>
</li>
<li class="p-Help-Bulleted">
<p class="Help-Bulleted">Write down and store your passwords in a safe place.</p>
</li>
<li class="p-Help-Bulleted">
<p class="Help-Bulleted">If you have forgotten your password, ask your Security Administrator to &#160;assign you a new one.</p>
